AgRibot at Agrotica 2026

From 12–15 March 2026, the AgRibot project was represented at Agrotica 2026, the leading agricultural trade fair in Southeastern Europe. Bringing together professionals, companies, and institutions from across the sector, the 31st edition of Agrotica showcased the latest innovations shaping the future of agriculture and rural economies.

This year, Agrotica brought together 1,520 exhibitors from 42 countries, fully occupying the exhibition space in Thessaloniki, Greece. Across four bustling days, the event confirmed its role as a key meeting point for the agricultural sector, combining innovation, business opportunities, and knowledge exchange. With a strong international presence and a packed programme of exhibitions, conferences, and B2B meetings, Agrotica continues to shape the future of agriculture in Southeastern Europe.

Attendees had the opportunity to experience first-hand how agriculture is rapidly transforming through smart farming technologies, digital applications, and sustainable practices. From cutting-edge machinery to AI-driven solutions, the exhibition clearly reflected the sector’s shift towards more efficient, data-driven farming systems.

Actively participating in the event, our partners at AgroApps positioned AgRibot within this evolving landscape of innovation. Through discussions with farmers, technology providers, and industry stakeholders, they observed strong interest in the project, particularly from those involved in tree cultivation and vegetable production.

At the same time, one key challenge consistently emerged: the lack of available labour, a growing concern across the sector that continues to impact productivity and day-to-day operations.

Events like Agrotica play a crucial role in grounding innovation in reality — ensuring that technological development stays aligned with the needs, constraints, and expectations of those working in the field.
