AgRibot Flies to Nicosia – 2nd Plenary Meeting

From 12–13 January, the AgRibot consortium met in Nicosia, hosted by our partners at CYENS Centre of Excellence, for our second plenary meeting.

This one was particularly interesting, as our partners had tangible results to show, in addition to sharing their future plans. We had the chance to see progress on the robots themselves, and how they’re being adapted to different crops, with safety and usability being a high priority.

Through AR-based training and supervision tools, we could see how AgRibot’s end-users will actually interact with the robots, as well as how XAI fits into AgRibot — how robots make decisions, while making sure those decisions are understandable and transparent to the people using them.

As mentioned, the main focus of the plenary was on the six pilot cases, focusing on training needs, safety, and increasing the robots’ effectiveness in real farming conditions.

So stay tuned to see news from the field and tool demos!

We even managed to squeeze in a workshop to further align with partners on their solutions to end-users in the most effective way.
