While digital tools, artificial intelligence, robotics, and data-driven decision-making are transforming agriculture, many farmers still face challenges when it comes to adopting and integrating these solutions into their daily work. Access to training, practical guidance, and reliable support remains just as important as the technologies themselves.
This shared challenge is what brings AgRibot and GreenFit together.
GreenFit is a Horizon Europe project helping farmers adopt climate-smart agricultural practices through digital tools, training activities, value-chain partnerships, and community engagement. From AI-powered climate services and autonomous drones to XR training environments and digital learning platforms, the project is exploring how technology can become more accessible and useful for farmers across Europe.
The connection with AgRibot is a natural one. While AgRibot develops robotic solutions for tasks such as harvesting, pruning, fertilisation, and spraying, it also focuses on helping farmers and agricultural workers understand, interact with, and adopt these technologies through user-centred design and AR/XR-supported training.
Recognising that meaningful innovation starts with people, both AgRibot and GreenFit place farmers at the centre of the development process. By providing opportunities to learn, test, and give feedback on new technologies, the projects aim to make innovation more accessible and relevant to everyday farming.
Through this new synergy, we aim to exchange knowledge, share experiences, and support each other’s efforts to build a more sustainable, resilient, and digitally empowered agricultural sector.
Stay tuned for joint webinars, workshops, and other collaborative activities as we continue exploring how digital innovation can support farmers across Europe.
