UCPH is the largest institution of research and education in Denmark. The Department of Food and Resource Economics (IFRO) in the faculty of SCIENCE is engaged in interdisciplinary research, education and public service in the areas of environment, natural resources, global development, food and agriculture as well as consumption, bioethics and governance. In particular, the Production, Trade and Policy section at IFRO is mainly involved in production economics, technology assessment, innovation, entrepreneurship, climate change, business management, farm management, international trade and trade policy. The department manages several EU projects in the area of behavioral economics, climate-smart agri-food systems, agroecology, technology adoption and impact assessment.
UCPH – IFRO contributes insights into social science and end-user perceptions to the AgRibot project. Their research focuses on understanding the social implications of introducing robotic technologies in agriculture, assessing user acceptance, and exploring the socioeconomic impacts of automation on the agricultural sector.
